Worthy Brothers:

We have had a busy month with Honor Guards at our Church, and a few projects, and here are the projects and events I need your input and help with:

Final Kitchen Clean Up – Thursday May 17th
We are in need of 3 – 4 Brothers for about 2 – 3 hours to finish the work and complete the kitchen clean up project.  Let me know if you can help.  We will start after the 9AM mass.

Fraternal Year 2012 – 2013 Officers Election, Tuesday, May 22 At the May 22nd, Monthly Council Business meeting, we will be conducting the annual election of officers.  We have previously sent you the proposed roster of officers and to have your vote counted you
must be in attendance.  These men who have volunteered to lead our Saint Brigid Council are all good men you can count on.

The meeting will be a short agenda, basically the election and a few announcements of upcoming projects and events needing your help.

Mass of Celebration – Sunday - May 26 at the 10:45 AM Mass, Brother Dennis Dorner Jr.,
will be celebrating his first mass as an ordained deacon.  His ordination as a priest will be next year.  Dennis Dorner Sr., besides being the Chancellor for the Archdiocese and Deacon at Saint Brigid has requested the following:

All 4th Degree Honor Guard Brothers who can assist us with an Honor Guard at that mass please let me know.   Check-in for the Honor Guard is 10:00 AM at a room yet to be designated.   Please let me know you can assist us in celebrating this event for our Council Brothers Dennis Sr. & Jr.

All Council Brothers: On Sunday morning after the 10:45 AM Mass there will be a reception
for Deacon Dennis Jr., and we have been asked to assist the parish staff in preparing and serving at the reception to be conducted after the mass.  We will gather in the kitchen around 9AM to have everything ready for the parishioners who will attend the reception.  Please let me know if you can help.

RCIA Fundraising Breakfast Sunday June 3 We are supporting the RCIA fundraising program again this year and will be serving our traditional IHOP Breakfast to all parishioners
supporting this fundraiser after the 9AM.  We will need our usual group 6 – 7 brothers in the kitchen doing the cooking, 8 – 10 Brothers to serve the Breakfast, and 3 – 4 Brothers who will come in around 9:30AM to clean the kitchen.  Please let me know which team you can
help with.

Council 10th Anniversary Dinner – Saturday, June 9th after the 5PM Vigil Mass. Please let me know if you will be joining us for the 10th Anniversary celebration get together after the Saturday 5PM Vigil Mass.  We will supply dinner and adult beverages.

I need a head count to work with the caterer to have sufficient food and adult beverages.  If you will be in attendance, we request you wear your Council Polo Shirt to the Vigil Mass and let your Ladies know the dress will be casual.   A few short announcements will be made so the ladies in attendance will know the many achievements this Council has made in supporting our Church and community.

KOC Social at the TED. Join fellow brothers and their families at an upcoming Braves Game. The "official" (ie: organized) night is Tuesday - June 12 - where the Braves take on the Yankees. Event Chairman, David Plauche, has a couple of tickets remaining. We're planning on a tailgate before the game, with traditional ball park food: dogs, chips, and beverages (adult and non-alcoholic).

Because the game against the Yankees is considered (by the Braves) to be a "premier game", we had to purchase general admission tickets to additional games. So, we have a few tickets available to the 5/28 game agains the Cardinals, the 6/27 game against the Diamondbacks, and the 7/17 game against the Giants. If you're interested in purchasing any tickets (for $4 each), please let David, Bill Dent, or GK Dick K. know. Unclaimed tickets will be offered to the youth grooups of the Parish and / or other similar ministries or community organizations.

NEW KOC Council Members Needed!!!

We will be conducting a First Degree Ceremony within the next 4 - 6 weeks and would like to request your assistance in identifying, inviting, and recruiting new members to our Council. Why not invite a friend / fellow Parishioner to join our growing group?

Please extend an invitation to all your Catholic Friends to join us as we do service for our Parish, our Community, our fellow Brothers, our Community and our Lord.

The Council is maintaining a list of possible new members for invitations to a First Degree Ceremony to join the Knights. Also, as the Supreme Council is encouraging all local Councils to hold regular First Degree Ceremonies before the end of our Fraternal year (June 30). So, please help us reach more men, and recruit them to join the KOC. 

Please help us grow, and reach out to fellow Parishioners to join us as we do good works for others. Plus, you know we have a lot of fun in all of our activities. Let John Hogan know if you have anyone to add to the prospect list. Thanks.

We sell our standard collared shirt, available in all sizes, at each of our scheduled monthly meetings. Shirts are available for $25 and caps are $10.
